elcome to my online counselling services website. My name is Kim Quayle and I am a fully qualified independent online counsellor. I am also a member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) so you can be assured I am a genuine professional.

I would like to share with you some information about my life to help you feel comfortable that I am the right person to support you on your therapeutic journey. It feels important to me that you know who I am, given trust plays such an important part in the counselling process.

I am currently 39 years of age, married and have two young boys who mean the absolute world to me. As a mum, it feels important for me to raise my children and be there for them as much as possible. This is one of my main reasons for setting up my own online counselling services business and working from home.

I first became interested in counselling after a close friend of mine faced some difficulties in his life and felt the need to seek some support from an outside source. I discovered as a result of my friend attending professional counselling that not only had his personal distress been relieved by the strong emotional support he had been given, but also how powerful his client/counsellor relationship had become. After hearing his story and watching him change and grow, I decided that I would very much like to be a part of helping others in this way for my future career and so it began.

Shortly after completing a ‘BA Honours Degree in Health Studies’, I decided to complete an ‘Introduction to Counselling’ course at my local college. This gave me the opportunity to learn what counselling was all about. Fascinated by what I had seen, I then went on to further my qualifications and study for a ‘Certificate in Counselling’ and a ‘Diploma in Person-centred Counselling’ at my local university. I have been working as a ‘Person-centred Counsellor’ in private practice since qualifying in 2006.

I was first introduced to internet relationships by one of my face to face clients and have since discovered from studying and practicing online counselling how powerful these types of relationships can be. Like face to face counselling, providing online counselling can be challenging but I love my job so much, mainly because it enables me to have such meaningful and worthwhile relationships.
